So much time is spent on comparing ones self to another. Wondering why she has such beautiful skin or why’s his muscles bigger? These things are formulated from your “ego” whose responsible for your personal self esteem. What we don’t know about this part of our mind is that the ego is responsible for more then we know! In sociology and psychology, self-esteem reflects a person’s overall subjective emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. It is a judgment of oneself.Values such as, self-respect, self-love, and self-image are important to feed ourselves. Self-respect is knowing or having some sort of idea of what’s not good for you and what is! Putting enough value on yourself to say “Hey, if I do this I would be undermining myself.” It’s pretty simple. Respect yourself (body included) & respect others. Self-image is usually where we fault the easiest, seeing yourself everyday of your life… its pretty hard not to be your worst crictic. Something I found that helps is, finding your favorite feature and running with it. I love my eyes & no one can take my eyes from me hehehe. From there you go to the next feature or even just something you know you like about yourself and own it. Self-Love is vital! It is strong, it comes from within. It comes from God who Is within you. All of these values tie into self-love, simply loving yourself, too love yourself you must respect yourself too respect yourself you must view yourself of being worthy of this. Sometimes this ego is a defense to hide the lack in self-esteem. However it is very possible to build yourself up and put these values into oneself! Everyday you wake up look in the mirror and say ” I am beautiful, I care about my wellbeing, I value who and what I am. There is no one in the world like me”. Your ego shouldn’t be the forfront of your confidence let the inner light resonate itself.
